Pink Hunter Wellies

Hi sweeties! I was planning on doing a post on the Academy Awards, but the dresses disappointed me so much that I thought they didn't deserve my time. I mean, there were obviously some beautiful dresses, but most of them were, in fact, ugly. Better luck next time...

Well, today it was a foggy day. Not in London town, but in Lisbon town. When I woke up I honestly couldn't see the back of my backyard. It was gray and ugly, so I thought the only thing that could lighten up the day would be my pink wellies! (Turns out that after the fog dissipated it was a bright sunny day. Now imagine how ridiculous I looked while wearing wellies on a sunny day...).

Moving on, I'm wearing a Sfera cardigan, Mango blouse, Levi's bold curve jeans and Hunter wellies. It's a very casual outfit, but it had to be, since it was the only thing that matched my scarecrow hair (I should explain - every single blowdryer I own decided do fail me at the same time).

Estava a contar fazer um post sobre os Óscares, mais especificamente sobre a red carpet, mas fiquei tão desiludida este ano, que acho que não merecem que lhes dedique um espacinho aqui. Sorry, pode ser que para o ano se redimam.

Hoje esteve nevoeiro! Quando acordei estava tanto nevoeiro que não conseguia ver a parte de trás do meu quintal. Estava um dia feio e cinzento, por isso pensei que as únicas coisas que podia alegrar o dia seriam as minhas galochas cor-de-rosa! (Claro que depois de o nevoeiro dissipar, um lindo dia de sol tomou o seu lugar. Agora imaginem o quão ridícula eu me senti a usar galochas num dia de sol...).

Moving on, estou a usar um cardigan Sfera, blusa Mango, calças de ganga Levi's bold curve e galochas Hunter. É um conjunto muito prático e casual, mas teve mesmo de ser, porque foi a única coisa que combinava com o meu cabelo de espantalho (todos os secadores que possuo decidiram deixar de funcionar na mesma altura).

Striped skirt and neon blouse

Hi sweeties! Ready for another week? 

I followed your advice and the sunburn is almost gone. If I go soak up the sun later, I won't forget the sunscreen.

Today was another sunny day, so I wore a happy colored blouse and a striped skirt. Even though it was sunny, it wasn't exactly summer warm, so I needed to wear this denim jacket to keep warm.

I'm wearing a Zara neon blouse, Zara denim jacket, H&M skirt, Lefties ballet flats, Primark golden bracelets and black and white bracelet with lava stone from the Vesuvio volcano (bought in Pompei).

Segui os vossos conselhos e o escaldão já foi quase quase embora. Hoje, se for apanhar sol, já não me esqueço do protetor. 

Como hoje esteve um dia com imenso sol, usei uma blusa com uma cor alegre e esta saia com riscas. Claro que apesar do sol ainda não é verão, por isso precisei de usar este blusão de ganga para me manter quentinha.

Estou a usar uma blusa neon da Zara, blusão de ganga Zara, saia H&M, sabrinas Lefties, pulseiras douradas Primark e pulseira preta e branca com pedra de lava do vulcão Vesúvio (comprada em Pompeia).

The Oscars will take place later today, but the ceremony airs a little bit late here in Portugal (1:30 a.m.), so I'm not sure if I'll watch the whole thing. Specially because I get up at 7:00 a.m. ... We'll see. 

Os Oscares, cá em Portugal, vão passar relativamente tarde (1:30 da manhã), por isso ainda não sei se vou ver a cerimónia toda. Especialmente porque tenho de acordar às 7... A ver vamos.

Floral shirt

Hi sweeties! For some unknown reason my last post disappeared. Okay, it's not exactly unknown... I started pretending that I actually knew a thing or two about computers and accidentally erased the post. It was only when a friend of mine told me that I realized the terrible thing I'd done. Of course that it was too late.

Anyway, last night I had an amazing time on my friends' dinner party and night out. I promised I'd show you the outfit I look to said dinner, so here it is. 

I'm wearing an H&M shirt (that I fell in love with and bought last week), Stradivarius leggings, Zara ballet flats and Pandora bracelet.

Olá queridos! Por alguma razão desconhecida o meu post anterior desapareceu. Okay, não é exatamente desconhecida... Eu pus-me a inventar, a fingir que percebia de computadores e apaguei acidentalmente o post. Só mais tarde, quando uma amiga minha mo disse é que me apercebi da barbaridade que acabara de cometer. Claro que nessa altura já era tarde de mais.

De qualquer das maneiras, tinha-vos prometido que vos mostraria o outfit que levei para o jantar e saída de dois amigos meus, por isso aqui está.

Estou a usar uma camisa H&M (pela qual me apaixonei na semana passada), leggings Stradivarius, sabrinas Zara e pulseira Pandora.

Today I went to my backyard to absorbe some sunlight and naively thought that I didn't need sunscreen. Obviously I got my face sunburnt. I don't know if you can see the magnitude of the redness, but here's a photo for you to get the idea.

Hoje à tarde fui apanhar sol para o meu quintal e, inocentemente, pensei que não precisaria de usar protetor solar. Resultado: escaldão na cara. Não sei se conseguem ver a magnitude da vermelhidão, mas aqui está uma fotografia a partir da qual podem mais ou menos avaliar os danos.

Pleated skirt and turquoise blue

Hi sweeties! I bought this pleated skirt last week and I haven't been able to wear it because of the cold. Today was a little bit warmer, so I figured I'd wear it. Even so, since I have to get up at 7:00 a.m., I wore tights. When I got home I was melting, so I took them off and spent the rest of the day like this. Hope you guys like it! Again, it's a bit reminiscent of the spring. I can't seem to wash that off my looks anymore...

I don't know if you've noticed (even though there's a photo of it), but I'm wearing neon nail polish! What do you think? Like it? Not so much? I think it looks fun, but my boyfriend said it looked like someone had just thrown up on my nails! Men, right?

I'm wearing a Lefties pleated skirt, Zara knitted cardigan, Bershka blouse, Zara swede loafers and a silver bracelet with tiny birds as old as myself (my grandmother gave it to me the day I was born).

Olá queridos! Comprei esta saia plissada há coisa de uma semana, mas ainda não tinha tido oportunidade de a usar (estava frio). Como hoje esteve mais quentinho, decidi arriscar. Ainda assim, como tenho de me levantar às 7 da manhã, usei uns collants. Quando cheguei a casa estava a derreter, por isso tirei-os e andei assim o resto do dia. Espero que gostem. Mais uma vez, este look é reminescente da primavera. Ao que parece não consigo apagar este toque dos meus conjuntos, ultimamente...

Não sei se repararam (apesar de haver uma fotografia disso), mas estou a usar verniz neon! O que acham? Gostam? Nem por isso? Eu acho que têm um ar divertido e alegre, mas o meu namorado mal as viu perguntou se alguém lhes tinha vomitado para cima. Homens...

Estou a usar uma saia plissada Lefties, cardigan Zara, blusa Bershka, loafers de camurça Zara e uma pulseira de prata com passarinhos tão velha quanto eu (a minha avó deu-ma no dia em que nasci).

Lace blouse and tweed shorts

Hi sweeties! I've noticed that my number of followers and of people who comment on my blog keeps increasing. That makes me extremely happy, so thank you. A lot! The pressure of making a good post is higher, but I'll do my best to match your expectations.

Well, these shorts are a personal favorite of mine. I bought them last year and I fell deeply in love with them ever since. I also adore Carolina Herrera's shoes and bags. They're heavenly!

I'm wearing Mango shorts, Lefties lace blouse, Sfera cardigan, Carolina Herrera ballet flats and leather bag. This is a comfortable and practical look, but also featuring my chic and feminine side.

Olá queridos! Tenho reparado que tanto o número de seguidores do blog como o número de comentários continua a aumentar. Isto faz-me muitíssimo feliz, por isso obrigada! A pressão de fazer um bom post é maior, mas prometo que vou dar o meu melhor para corresponder às vossas expectativas.

Bom, estes calções são uma das peças de que mais gosto no meu guarda-roupa de inverno. Comprei-os há coisa de um ano e tenho-me vindo a apaixonar cada vez mais por eles. Também adoro os sapatos e malas Carolina Herrera. São divinais!

Estou a usar uns calções Mango, blusa de renda Lefties, cardigan Sfera e sabrinas e mala Carolina Herrera. É um look confortável e prático, mas com uma vertente chique e feminina!

Peplum blouse

Hi sweeties! How's the weekend treating you? I was trying to do a paper for college, but I had to take a break, so I decided I'd show you my outfit.

Just so you know, I'm head over heels for peplum style. I think it is a wonderfully flirty touch and it is also a great alternative for the commonplace girly touches (such as lace). Not that I don't like lace, but sometimes it's good to change.

I'm wearing an H&M peplum blouse, H&M cardigan, Zara skirt, Tommy Hilfiger ballet flats and pearl earrings.

Olá queridos! Como está a correr o fim de semana? Estava a tentar fazer um trabalho para a faculdade, mas precisei de fazer uma pausa e pensei que talvez fosse boa ideia mostrar-vos o meu outfit de hoje.

Só para que saibam, eu adoro o estilo peplum. Acho que é um toque super feminino, que realça a figura e que é uma boa alternativa aos lugares comuns dos pormenores mais femininos (como renda, por exemplo). Não que eu não goste de renda, mas de vez em quando sabe bem variar.

Estou a usar uma blusa peplum H&M, cardigan H&M, saia Zara, sabrinas Tommy Hilfiger e brincos de pérolas.

How to rock neon colors

Hi sweeties! How most of you may now, the neon colors are back from the 80's. 

I've never been a big fan of this trend, especially because it was associated with those huge and ugly hairstyles. Now, luckily, fashion has evolved, and even though it is cyclical, it is also a little bit more rational. Of course this doesn't mean that there aren't crazy styles anymore, because they do exist, but most people nowadays has the sense to say no to some of them.

All of this to say that now, with moderation, I kind of like neons. And the key word here is "moderation". Obviously you don't want to end up looking like a neon highlighter, so please do not attempt to wear tons of neons at the same time. Unless you are Carrie from Sex and the City, chances are you're not very likely to pull it off. And trust me, I say this with love.

In order to rock the neon style, there are a few things you need to have: 

1 - a neon piece (in my case it will be a blouse), it can be patterned or not.

2 - neutral, black, dark blue, grey or white colors to complement the rest of the look.

I wore a Stradivarius neon pink blouse, Sfera nude cardigan, Dorothy Perkins pants, Converse All-Star, Tiffany's necklace, Marc Jacobs flower bracelet, Accessorize beaded bracelet and pearl bracelets. 

Olá queridos! Como a maioria deve saber, as cores neon voltaram dos anos 80. 

Pessoalmente, nunca fui grande fã destes tons, especialmente porque sempre os associei àquelas permanentes medonhas que toda a gente ostentava na altura. Agora, felizmente, a moda evoluiu, e apesar de ser cíclica, é um bocadinho mais racional. Atenção, que isto não quer dizer que não existem modas malucas. Elas existem, mas a maioria das pessoas, hoje em dia, tem o bom senso de não lhes ligar.

Tudo isto para dizer que, com moderação, até gosto dos neons. E a palavra chave aqui é "moderação". Obviamente não querem ficar a parecer uns marcadores, por isso por favor não tentem juntar montes de neons ao mesmo tempo. A não ser que sejam a Carrie do Sexo e a Cidade, as probabilidades de correr bem são quase nulas. E acreditem que digo isto com todo o carinho possível.

Para usarem corretamente o estilo neon, devem ter:

1 - uma peça neon (no meu caso vai ser uma blusa). Pode ter (ou não) um padrão.

2 - cores neutras, pretos, azuis escuros, cinzentos ou brancos para complementar o look.

Eu usei uma blusa rosa neon da Stradivarius, calças Dorothy Perkins, All-Star brancos, colar Tiffany's, pulseira com flor Marc Jacobs, pulseira com contas coloridas Accessorize e pulseiras de pérolas.
