Varnish loafers and coral sweater

Hello sweeties! Today was such a sunny day that I kept feeling the urge to go to the beach. But just because of the sun, since the temperature was cold as ice.

I spent the day running errands, so I had to wear practical clothing. After spending a while trying to decide what to wear, this is what I came up with: A Primark coral sweater with little pearls attached, a Zara collared shirt, Zara denim jacket (I haven't worn the denim jacket in ages), leggings and Geox varnish loafers. 

I love these loafers. They're super cute and it feels like you're walking on clouds. 

Moving on... February is upon us and the reality of having to return to the gym in hard to face. It's been so good to procrastinate and pretend that I don't have to exercise. Oh well... I guess it's true what they say "it takes work to look good". Wish me luck!

Olá queridos! Hoje esteve tanto sol que só me apetecia ir a correr para a praia. Mas só por causa do sol, porque a temperatura não estava exatamente agradável.

Passei o dia a saltitar de um lado para o outro, por isso tive de usar roupa confortável. Depois de algum tempo de volta do meu guarda roupa, acabei por me decidir por isto: camisola coral com pérolas da Primark, camisola com gola Zara, blusão de ganga Zara (há séculos que não o usava), leggings e loafers de verniz Geox.

Adoro estes loafers. São super giros e parece que se está a andar em cima de nuvens.

Mudando de assunto... Com a chegada de fevereiro, chega a iminente realidade de que vou ter de regressar ao ginásio. Chega de procrastinar e fingir que posso engordar até ao infinito. Parece mesmo que o que dizem é verdade "it takes work to look good". Desejem-me sorte!

Navy blue striped dress

I've been quite ill these past few days, therefore I haven't been able to blog. Apparently I caught this stupid virus that almost half my family had caught (and trust me, there are plenty of us). My body is still not functioning at 100%, but since I don't feel like I'm going to pass out at every waking minute, I decided I should show you today's outfit. With that said, I think it is needless to say please ignore my zombielike face.

Tobias (my dog) tried to sabotage my photos, so the ones down there are the ones that were acceptable.

PS: my earrings are "filigrana", which is a type of portuguese silverwork (and goldwork). You can google it to know more, because there are hundreds of designs, each one prettier than the other.

Nestes últimos dias tenho andado um caco, por isso não tenho podido postar nada. Apanhei um virus nojento e horrível que quase metade da minha família tinha apanhado (e olhem que somos muitos). O meu corpo ainda não está a funcionar a 100%, mas dado que não sinto que vou desmaiar de minuto a minuto, acho que estou apta para vos mostrar o meu conjunto de hoje. Posto isto, penso que seja escusado dizer para por favor ignorarem a minha cara de zombie.

Ah, o Tobias (o meu cão) tentou sabotar as minhas fotografias, pelo que as que estão ali em baixo são as únicas aceitáveis. 

PS: os brincos são filigrana. Espero muito honestamente que estejam familiarizados com a dita. Dizem-se portugueses e não sabem o que é filigrana? Shame on you! Quem não sabe que se informe.

Burgundy knit dress and studded collar

Hi sweeties! How's the week treating you? Just wanted to make a quick post to show you my outfit for today. I'm wearing a Sfera burgundy knit dress, Pretty Ballerinas ballet flats, Zara leather belt, Zara leather studded collar (which I turned into a collar, because it was a large necklace), Accessorize bracelet and Tous pearl and silver earrings.

I'm finally seeing my boyfriend today, because he's been hibernated, studying for his finals (luckily I've already finished mine). Yay!

Olá lindinhos! Como está a correr a semana? Queria só fazer um post muito rapidinho para vos mostrar o meu conjunto de hoje. Estou a usar um vestido bordeaux da Sfera, sabrinas Pretty Ballerinas, cinto de pele Zara, gola de pele e tachas Zara (projeto diy, porque não era uma gola), pulseira Accessorize e brincos pérolas e prata Tous.

Ao final de não sei quantas semanas vou finalmente ver o meu namorado, visto que ele hibernou para estudar para os exames (felizmente os meus já acabaram todinhos). Yay!

Summer Outfits

I'm missing the summer. A LOT. I spent the whole day daydreaming about the sun and the heat. Oh yes, the heat. That thing that I truly despise in the summer but long for it during every other season of the year.

In the warm season I tend to wear very practical things, specially if I'm travelling. I feel like I cannot fully enjoy sightseeing with 12 cm heels. Therefore, most of the times, you'll find me wearing flat shoes or sandals, skirts, shorts or dresses. I don't really like pants (not ever during winter), but I admit they can be useful. Sometimes.

Since today I'm feeling very nostalgic, I'll post a few pictures of some of my past summer outfits. They are quite simple, but since I was travelling, I needed to feel comfortable. 

Tenho andado com imensas saudades do verão. Mesmo muitas. Passei o dia todo a sonhar com o sol e com o calor. Sim, o calor. Aquela coisa que detesto no verão, mas pela qual anseio durante todas as outras estações do ano.

Na estação quente costumo usar conjuntos muito práticos, especialmente se estiver em viagem. Sinto que não consigo apreciar na totalidade um sítio se andar a correr de um lado para o outro com saltos de 12 cm. Por isso, na maior parte das vezes uso sandálias rasas ou sabrinas, vestidos, saias ou calções. Não gosto muito de calças (nem no inverno), mas admito que muito ocasionalmente podem ser úteis.

Dado que hoje me estou a sentir bastante nostálgica, deixo aqui alguns dos conjuntos que usei no verão passado. São bastante simples, mas como estava de viagem, precisava de me sentir confortável.

Maxi dress

I wanted to know what all the fuss was about wearing a maxi skirt (or dress) in winter. Usually I wear them only during summer, but I figured I should give it a try. And guess what? I loved it! It's super confortable, warm and fashionable. The best combo when it comes to winter fashion. I think I'll have to buy a few more things before the new collections are everywhere. What a pity...

I'm wearing an H&M maxi dress, a Banana Republic knit sweater (reeeealy old - it belonged to my mother), a Mulberry inspired bag (I'm still saving for the real deal, give me a break), Seaside leather shoes and a Claire's necklace.

PS: I'm sorry if I look sleepy, but I had literally just woken up. 

PPS: Don't mind the paleness. I'm in serious need of sun.

Quis descobrir porque é que vejo montes de pessoas a usar uma saia ou um vestido maxi no inverno. Normalmente uso-os no verão, mas decidi experimentar. E, vá-se lá saber porquê, adorei. É super confortável, quentinho e fashionable. O melhor que se pode pedir no que toca a roupa de inverno. Que chatice, isto significa que ainda tenho mais umas comprinhas para fazer antes das novas coleções chegarem em força.

Estou a usar um vestido maxi H&M, uma camisola Banana Republic (super antiga, era da minha mãe), uma mala inspirada pela Mulberry (ainda estou a juntar fundos para uma verdadeira), sapatos Seaside e colar Claire's.

Leopard print ballet flats

I wasn't planning on making a post today, but since I bought this awesome leopard print ballet flats I figured I'd show you. 

I never thought I'd buy anything with a leopard print on. I swore to myself I'd never buy such an item, but then everyone started wearing this pattern and I guess it began to grow on me. 

Nevertheless, I adore this pair of ballet flats. I think they're classy and I love how the red matches the print. I also think they must look great with jeans!

By the way, I'm wearing a Sfera shirt (that is the same color as the trim on the ballet flats, even though it's not clear), Zara leggings, Lefties cardigan, Swatch watch and Primark ballet flats.

So, what do you think? Are they the cutest thing or what?

Não estava a planear fazer um post hoje, mas como comprei este par de sabrinas adorável, decidi partilhar convosco.

Nunca pensei que alguma vez iria comprar algo com um padrão de leopardo. Jurei a mim mesma que nunca compraria, mas depois de se começar a usar, acho que me habituei e que comecei a gostar.

De qualquer das maneiras, gosto imenso deste par de sabrinas. Acho que são bastante classy e adoro como o vermelho liga com o padrão. Também acho que devem ficar lindas com calças de ganga!

Já agora, na fotografia de baixo estou a usar uma camisola da Sfera (que é da mesma cor que o vermelho das sabrinas, apesar de não o aparentar), leggings Zara, cardigan Lefties, relógio Swatch e sabrinas Primark.

Então, qual é o veredicto? São giras ou nem por isso?

2 months until spring!

Hi darlings! Since today was sunny and warm, I chose an outfit that is a tad reminiscent of the spring. 

(Please don't look at my hair. I know it looks terrible. Blame my parents for giving me this untamable hair, not me.).

As for the outfit, I'm wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch cardigan (with little bows on the pockets. Cute, right?), a Zara shirt, Zara pink pants, Carolina Herrera ballet flats (my favorite pair - probably because I don't own any Chanel's. Yet), Swarovski dark blue bracelet, Accessorize colored bracelets/elastics, Tous earrings and a Bijoux hair clip. The nail polish is Mischievous Mint by MAC.

Oh, I almost forgot! I went to Primark today, just to check out the SS12 collection, but there weren't many things there yet. It was chaos (as usual) and I ended up just buying a pair of ballet flats, a ring and  an iPhone cover. At least I didn't come home empty-handed.

Olá queridos! Como hoje está um dia lindo, com os passarinhos a cantar lá fora e imenso sol, escolhi um conjunto que me faz lembrar a primavera. (Por favor ignorem o meu cabelo. Sei que está pavoroso. Culpem os meus pais por me terem dado este cabelo indomável, não a mim.).

Quanto ao conjunto, estou a usar um casaco da Abercrombie & Fitch (com lacinhos nos bolsos), camisola e calças Zara, sabrinas Carolina Herrera (o meu par favorito. Provavelmente por ainda não ter nenhumas Chanel), pulseira azul escura com brilhantes da Swarovski, pulseiras/elásticos Accessorize, brincos Tous e gancho para o cabelo da Bijoux (acho eu). O verniz é o Mischievous Mint da MAC.

Quase me esquecia! Hoje fui à Primark, para ver a coleção primavera/verão12, mas ainda não havia grande coisa. A loja estava caótica (como sempre) e acabei por comprar só um par de sabrinas, um anel e uma capa para o iPhone. Ao menos não cheguei a casa de mãos a abanar.

Fun in red

Caso ainda não tenham reparado, eu sou completamente maluca por sabrinas. Um dia hei de (sim, já não tem hífen devido ao A.O.) fazer um post sobre a minha linda coleção.

Hoje decidi que ia usar um blazer que acho que só usei uma ou duas vezes na vida. Esqueci-me completamente dele, até que emergiu dos confins do meu guarda-roupa hoje de manhã.
Por muito que gostasse de ficar aqui, vou à H&M. Sinto que me está a chamar para algo, mas não sei exatamente para quê.

Moving on, today I decided I would wear this blazer that I think I've only worn twice since I got it. I 'd completely forgotten about the blazer, until it came from the underworld of my wardrobe, just this morning. 
I would love to stay here and chat, but I'm heading off to H&M. I got a feeling that the store is calling me, but I don't now exactly what for.

Colorblock winter style

O estilo "colorblock" começou a usar-se na passada primavera, mas é verdade que combinar cores vivas e suceder na tarefa pode ser complicado - especialmente no inverno. Como (felizmente) a grande maioria das pessoas não se veste como se fosse para uma festa temática dos anos 80, deve-se usar com prudência este estilo - conjugar duas ou três cores (sendo uma delas neutra, como preto, azul marinho ou branco) é suficiente e quase sempre uma boa aposta. Ao seguir estas dicas, devem ser capazes conjugar o estilo com grande parte do que têm no guarda-roupa.

Eu adoro este conjunto, porque, de momento, estou completamente obcecada por golas. Também gosto imenso da cor fúcsia (não sabia que se escrevia assim, btw), daí a cor da saia. Claro que o conjunto é apenas um exemplo do estilo, pelo que, se quiserem, podem trocar a cor por uma de que gostem mais. O blazer dá um ar mais adulto ao look, o que pode ser útil, para pessoas como eu que parecem sempre mais novas do que são. Os sapatos e a clutch são clássicos, sem grande espalhafato, para se fundirem com o conjunto, sem tirar o protagonismo das peças mais chamativas.

The colorblock trend became hot this spring, but pulling off many bright colors combined can be quite difficult - especially in the winter. Since most people don't dress like they're going to an 80's themed party, you should stick with a combination of two or three colors (one of them being neutral, like navy blue, black or white). By following this tips, you sould be able to rock the colorblock trend, while using mostly things that were already in your wardrobe.

I love this outfit because I'm super into collar necklaces right now. I just love them. I also love fuschia, hence the color of the skirt. This is just an example, so you can obviously switch the color of the skirt for whichever color you like. The blazer gives the outfit a more adult look, which, for people like me who always look younger than they are, can be useful. The shoes and clutch are very basic, so they can be matched without clashing with the rest of the components.

Hoje decidi fazer um post com o que vesti. Reparei que ainda não tinha feito nenhum, por isso decidi fazê-lo hoje (até porque estou de férias e tinha algum tempo).

Estou a usar uma blusa rosa pastel da H&M, um casaco cinzento da ASOS, leggings da Zara, sabrinas da Zara, relógio Swatch, colar Tiffany's, pulseiras Pandora e mala Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy 30 (que recebi nos anos e tem sido a minha go-to bag no último mês).

É um conjunto bastante confortável, mas que consegue mostrar o seu lado classy e não demasiado casual. Confesso que adoro as sabrinas, mas já estão a ficar velhinhas. Como são de camurça, e já as tenho há algum tempo, estão a alargar bastante (acho que se consegue perceber isso pela fotografia). Não quero saber; vou usá-las até ao dia em que se desintegrarem!

Today i decided to make a post with what I was wearing today. I've noticed that I haven't made one yet, so I figured: why not today?

I'm wearing an H&M pastel pink blouse, an ASOS light grey cardigan, Zara leggings, Zara ballet flats, Swatch watch, Tiffany's necklace, Pandora bracelets and a Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy 30 purse (which has become my favorite go-to bag this past month. You can't blame me... It looks good with everything!). 

I'd say this is a very comfortable outfit, but not too casual. It's classy with a hint of boho-chic. I must admit that even though I adore the ballet flats, they are getting quite old (I believe you can tell by the photo). I don't care; I'm gonna wear them until they disintegrate.
